Let me make this simple. Adidas power lifter trainers or rogue do-wins?
Pros and cons.
I used to squat in boots when I was younger. Since returning to the bar I have been squatting in zero lift shoes non compressible shoes. ( great for hiking but no support)
This wasn't a problem until I started getting a little heavier and i think i am ready for some gear to protect my feet and ankles and help me get my squat moving again. I am shopping for a lifting shoe and wanted some opinions and preferences.
I will shop online from rogue primarily but will also look on amazon.
Looks are not a factor(garage trainer) but performance is.

Thanks. I like the wood soles
Adipower 2012, do it.
I sencond the WeiRuis sold at MaxBarbell.com Awesome price and everyone I know who buys them (2-4 people at my globo in addition to me) likes them.
I use the Vs Athletics Oly Shoes. You get extra pity points for looking like you wear orhtapedic corrective shoes. But that are super solid for me. Had them for a year now. No wear and tear at all.
I use flat sneakers for deadlifts though. Sambas. I can squat in them if I have too, but id rather not.
I bought a pair of DoWins from Pendlay about six years ago, and another recently. I like them because they fit (I have wider feet) and they are constructed well. The only reason I bought I newer pair was for the lower heel. The reason I didn't get the Rogue Do-Wins is because they are advertised as "unisex" which translates to me as narrow feet--although I dont' really know.
That's my fear with buying shoes online. I already have wide feet and have been wearing barefoot style shoes most of the time for over a year and a half and my feet have splayed out even wider. I normally wear a 12 w hunting boot. I like the do wins . And the Adidas power lifter trainers.
