What's wrong with that one?
an observation - the bottom position cue mentioned in SS - where you shove your knees out with the help of your elbows - my feet end up at over 60 degrees out - obviously due to limb length differences and duck footedness.
Coach Ripp in your experience what foot position or cue might work better for trainees of my stature?
What's wrong with that one?
hmm..you got me there...i suppose from what I had read in SS the 30-45 degree angle was more appropriate?
Not if you're duck-footed. You have to honor the angle of your foot.
It could also be a mobility issue (e.g. lack of dorsiflexion ROM), which will go away as you continue to squat. I used to walk with one of my feet externally rotated and had tight everything, so I really had to turn my toes out near the bottom of the squat to hit depth. Now that I've been squatting for awhile, I don't have this problem, and I use the 30-45 degree angle or so.
