I've heard of worse ideas. Maybe 2x5 on Tues. I would be interested to hear how it goes and whether you are too sore on Tuesday to squat.
I was thinking about changing the texas method template a bit when ill get stuck with it. I thought about something like this:
Mon - 3*5 squat
Tus - 3*5 squat (same weight) + light deadlifts (around 80% from my 5RM for 5 doubles, or something)
Fri - intensity - 1*5 squat, 1*5 deadlift
Btw, if it's relevant, im around 100kg. My latest intensity was 187.5kg*5 squat, 210kg*5 deadlift. and my latest volume was 165kg*5*5 squat

I have run it for a few weeks by now. I don't feel sore at all, in fact, sometimes i feel better on the second day. i just hit a PR on squat and deadlift last friday (192.5*5, 220*5). Do you think i should lower the volume on tuesday even though im making progress?
