    Default Squat Check

    Coaches:

I am doing PR doubles this week, following a programming suggestion from Jordan where I do 3 weeks of 5 rep Texas Method, followed by 3 weeks of 3 rep TM, then a week of doubles, a week of singles, and back to 5 rep TM.

This was a double I did on squats at 430lbs. I squat high bar due to shoulder inflexibility. I know 45 degrees is your preferred angle, but the layout of my gym precludes that.

My question: is this deep enough for me to attempt a double at 435 on Saturday, or should I repeat 430 then?

    Thanks for reading and viewing.

I received a PM from Wolf that stated your squats were high. I went back and looked at them on my computer at home, and he is correct, particularly the second one. I apologize for leading your wrong on the first post. 90 degree angle, distance, safety bar, small screen at work, and I gave you a bad answer.

As for whether or not you go up...if depth was the determination, nope, don't go up.

Again, sorry to mislead you, I'll do better.

The gods of SS have spoken...
