    Default Advice on Limited Routine

    • starting strength seminar october 2024

    With work and family commitments, I have limited time to train three days each week (Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday). Lately, I’ve been using the 531 method on my main lifts.

    I was thinking of setting up my program as follows:

    Sunday:
    • Squat- 531
    • Bench- 531

    Tuesday:
    • Press- 531
    • Chins or DB Rows- 3 sets

    Thursday:
    • Deadlift- 531

    I’m thinking this is probably the bare minimum to advance my lifts within my limited time to train. If I have extra time on Sundays (and depending on feel), I may also try to add in some Cleans.

    Do you think this routine is sufficient? Should I throw in any additional exercises?

    I think its fine. I am a fan of minimalist training. I do much of the same thing myself.
