Ok the thing is I sprained my wrist and have no idea if I tore something, I can Bench press without any pain, but everytime I try to overhead press, it hurts a lot after about 2 - 3 reps.

What should I do while this is healing up? should I continue with the press and do less reps or...?

    Thanks rip.

Correct your press grip. This is the problem, especially if it doesn't hurt to bench.

I'm not sure about Rip's opinion on this, but you might want to buy some wrist wraps while it heals up.

I injured my wrists this summer, and, at least for the bench, it greatly reduced the pain when pressing. Also, I didn't feel that I became dependent on them-- when my wrists felt better and I ditched the wraps, I wasn't any weaker without them.

I wasn't pressing at the time, so I can't speak for the effects of wraps on that movement, but I presume it would be similar.

Wrist wraps are often used as a substitute for a correct grip.
