    Default Hip discomfort during squats.

Hey coach, I was squatting and felt some sort of movement in the front of my hip exactly where you judge depth. It has been some time now and it doesn't feel injured but I continue to have a nagging discomfort. I am guessing that if you have not done this to yourself while training, I am fairly sure you have seen this happen to those you train. Any thoughts on the cause and rehab?

    Thanks,

    Rob

I don't judge depth at the front of the hip, if by "front" you mean anterior. Sorry, but I can't diagnose from here.

Sounds like the standard hip flexor tendinitis/getting pulled thing.

Knees are probably moving around at the bottom of the squat. Stop it and it will go away.

Rereading pp 45-48 of SSBBT2 and possibly have a friend watch or film you as you squat might be useful.
