    Default Got sick on last day of 5/3/1 cycle

    • starting strength seminar august 2024
    • starting strength seminar october 2024
    • starting strength seminar december 2024
    Whole family has been sick with a virus. Puking, fever, body aches etc.

    The only workout I missed was my last squat day.

    How would you proceed from here? Repeat the week?

    Just skip it and continue as scheduled.

    Since you said you only missed one day apparently you were only down for about 3 days. I wouldn't repeat the week but I'd start back with my 5/3/1+ squat day. To me that is the sacramental finish to a cycle and it would be blasphemous to miss it altogether. YMMV.

    Stomach virus? I got through that 2-3 weeks ago. Absolutely terrible few days.

    Yup.

    My pregnant wife brought it home first. I don't usually get sick, so I didn't pay much attention to it other than to care for her. She gave it to my 4 year old. Then I got it. It was brutal.

    Last time I felt that bad was when I had the flu when I was 18.
