Muscle mass gain, in addition to the caloric demands of the training, makes a guy hungry. It's one of the indications that you're growing and getting stronger. Metcon by itself does not produce the mass gains that barbell training does.
just an observation and was wondering if anyone else had experienced the same thing. i would have thought that because of the high intensity of the metcon workouts, i would be burning more calories and thus hungrier while doing crossfit. is it possible that my caloric needs have increased because of ss in only the 3 weeks i've been doing it? i'm just now starting to reach some respectable weights because i started quite low.

i.e. Keep eating and don't stop, even if it's uncomfortable.
