From http://www.wfac-gym.com/?page_id=1394 which is a website for a fitness business!

January[/url] 29, 30 & Feb 2 : Concealed Handgun License Class by Point Blank. 6-10pm 29th & 30th at WFAC, Wichita Falls, TX. Range time is Feb 2 at noon. $100
Do I need to be armed to train safely at WFAC? Where the hell do I conceal it during a set of squats?

I've been to Texas many times. You folks sure do have a different perspective on the world.

It's one of the key differences between Texans and Canadians. We're proud of it.

    F'in-A on that one, Rip.

If you carry, what do you like to carry? For me I carry a Glock 30 and a snubby; yeah I don't mind letting the world know that I'm armed and I know how to use the weapons I have. And I have carried a 1911 on a few occasions too...

CCW permits at the gym? I don't give a shit if I'm not a Texas resident, I'm leaving RIGHT NOW. I'll sleep in my damned truck until January 29th. See you in 25 hours.

Speaking of differing ideologies, what makes you think that concealed carry (or open carry, for that matter) is a "have to" rather than a "want to?"

Spiderman doesn't speak for all Canadians. Many of us in the West share the same sentiments, especially us rural folk. I personally am disappointed that a license is even required in Texas for a constitutional right.

As a dual citizen, born in Canada, as one of the very few Americans who has (domestically) been shot at in anger and by accident, and as someone who mainly grew up in Vermont, killing deer... I'd like to explain to my fellow Canadians that a gun safety class is one of the places you are least likely to get shot.

On the other hand, if a lot of terrified Canadians start showing up at WFAC with guns they don't know how to handle... not sure it would make me want to be armed, but it might keep me away.

It's funny that I just saw that today too. All you need now is an in-house butcher and you'd be a one stop shop!

For the $100 would you be serving refreshments? I would mind a piece of apple Pah or two with a cup of coffee.

It's not, except to carry concealed on your person. I can keep my pistols in the car wherever I go.
