    Default Ankle pain during squats

    Hey SS Forum,

When I squat, I'm getting pain on the inside of my ankle, just below the bone of the leg. Some pain also in my knee...

When I squat down and get in the hole, I feel like the weight all gets distributed to the inside of my ankle complex.

Any idea how to fix this?

You might need to lose some weight. Tony Soprano looks like hes almost 300 lbs.

But really...do you have a video of your form?

    No video currently...

I thought there might be a quick fix for inner ankle pain...

My crystal ball says "How the fuck should I know without actually seeing what you're doing?"

That's what my crystal ball says anyway.

As Steve said so eloquently...we have no idea what could possibly be causing your issue with having some idea of what you're doing. "When I squat" tells us nothing.

Well... if you feel your weight is getting distributed to the inside... it probably is.

One possibility is that your knees aren't tracking along your feet. Maybe your feet are pointed too far out or your stance is too wide or you're not pushing your knees out far enough. All those things could make the weight be on the inside of your ankle.
Squishy shoes (like running shoes ) would also be more likely to give you ankle issues.

Okay, I will work on experimenting with my knee position and stance. If the problem persists, I will try to get someone to film a video of me.

    Thanks..

    Tony
