    Default Incorporating Sumo question

Question on best way to incorporate Sumo. I'm trying to work on my adductors as I have tight adductors (which are apparently really just weak adductors).

I've been doing this by cutting my deadlift warmups a bit and adding in sumo pulls. (for example, I'm pulling work set 250, and my old warmup might have me pulling a set of 5 at 160 during warmup, but instead I'll pull 3 standard and 3 sumo at that weight, and the same kind of split at different weights). I've noticed some solid gains in my flexibility/range and have less issue getting squat depth, so I am confident it is helping.

I'm wondering though if this is the best way to do this, and was considering just doing one day all sumo instead, but I am about to start adding in power cleans and that would mean some times I'll have just one day of DL with no sumo all week or other odd mixes.

Any thought on programming this in? (Other than "don't"?)

Do a top set conventional, then do 1 or 2 drop sets sumo.

I took a quick look at your log. 6' 200+ bw with a 250# 5rm on deads? Something ain't right, dude, and it's not your adductors. You've got to get that bigger something figured out.

Well, that bigger something is an injury that left me unable to do pretty much any physical activity more strenuous than sitting in a chair for almost 4 years, or sleep for more than two consecutive hours, and that was only resolved less than two years ago. My body was completely atrophied, and at 255 I had a BF% of over 33%, so that 6' 200+ isn't really impressive, more like depressing. I've dropped about 20lbs of that over the past few months finally, but that's still 60+ lbs of bodyfat all concentrated in the torso.

    EDIT:
I hadn't considered drop sets for some reason, but that would address my concern about working too much in the warmup and derailing my work set, thank you.
