    A little background:

I am 24 years old, and have been lifting consistently for 4-5 years. I have been running 531 for about a year and a half, I like the simplicity and effectiveness and it fits nicely with my work schedule (40+ hours a week). While working with this training my Bench has gone from 235-270, Squat 315-365, Military Press 155-185, Deadlift 465-515. I have some big goals I would like to hit this year and with the new year just rolling in I thought it would be fun to track my progress here on starting strength.

    Default 1/3/15

    1/3/15

    Incline Bench: 125x5, 140x5, 165x11 PR, Jokers- 185x5, 195x3, Backdown sets-140x5 paused, 125x15 paused

    Assistance Work:

-Incline DB Bench, up to 75x10, then 50x15

-Weighted Chins, up to 50x8, then 25x10

-DB Flys, up to 45x8, then 25x15

Pretty happy with today, wanted to get 10 with 165# and got 11, i'll take it. I want to work with the incline bench for a while because I pretty much suck at it. Plus I like the fact that it is a very simple movement with little setup or technique, you're just either strong at it or not. The assistance afterwards has do rhyme or reason, just whatever I feel like working on that particular day. I do feel like dumbbell work really helps my upper body lifts especially anything bench related. Anyways, I was happy with how the jokers went and was surprised I worked up as high as I did considering it is 5's week and I haven't done much incline in a while. Overall a great way to start the year.

Hi Drew, welcome. We have a subforum dedicated for logging one's own training: Training Logs. Good luck!
