My press is stuck at 215 and I don't have smaller plates than 2.5 lbs. Any good links to purchase a set of 1 lb-ers? I have been googling, but maybe I am putting the wrong search terms in. I can get 220 up to my forehead, but then get an epic fail.

    thanks so much

Have failed to notice the 50+ posts on this board regarding substitutes for store-bought small plates?

Can't get much cheaper than this. The best part is that 2 of these weigh in at 1.25 lbs.

Cool, I have one of those stores by my house. I'm going to head over and buy 4 of those washers. The local Ace, Lowes, and Home Depot didn't stock them.

I've got a set of fractional plates from Iron Woody. They've proven to be invaluable to keeping my bench and press progress going.

I was planning on using 2"USS washers too. I work at Fastenal and was thinking that the other day. Not that expensive either.

And don't forget you need 6 washers, not 4. That way you can add 1 1/4 lbs, 2 1/2 lbs and 3 3/4 lbs.
