Building the Foundation
Hello everyone,
I'm a 27 year old novice lifter from Istanbul, Turkey. I first learned about starting strength and Mark back when I was attending college in the US (Virginia Tech alumnus, class of '09). I lifted on and off back then without the proper discipline to achieve any meaningful results. Now that I'm back in my hometown holding a steady job, I decided to do it right this time. I've been doing SS since August and here is what I've done so far:
Stats
Height: 175 cm (5'9)
Weight: 91 kg (200 lbs)
Squat: 60 - 113 kg
Bench: 40 - 69 kg
Press: 30 - 52 kg
Deadlift: 80 - 146 kg
Chins: 0 reps - 4 reps
I'm still progressing steadily on the lifts, no major stalls. I'm still squatting heavy 3 time per week.
For nutrition, I've had a consult with JP.
The current goal is getting my lifts to a point were more specialized stuff is warranted. For starters, I'm aiming at 1.5xBW Squat, but at this stage I'm not concerned with numbers all that much. I wanna progress every workout for as long as I can.
Thanks all.
