On my last training I failed to drive the last rep of my squat out of the hole- due to not grinding hard enough ( all my work sets are filmed in Slow-Mo ).
When I went onto my DL I couldn’t even get her off the floor. Took 8 minutes, tried again same thing- reduced the weight by 6kg same thing. Back felt really fatigued that session and I’m wondering if my light DL day at 2 sets of 5 at 90% may be too much work. Should I reset this lift or try again next heavy pull day.

Try again next time. Your light DL should be 80%. What kind of grip are you using?

    Yes at 80 percent -
Also just going up on the first set of Mon / Sat training with 90% back offs 5x2
I might try alt grip but it feels unnatural for me

I use the hook for as long as I can stand it and then swap for the mixed, maybe 1-2 reps at the end. Sometimes I don’t need to at all. Yes, it feels odd, but you’re not doing it for that long.

Quick comment for any true beginners stumbling across this thread:

If you are in doubt, the simplest way to test if your grip is the problem is to use straps one time to see if you can lift it then...
Armed with that new info you can make more informed decisions on strengthening your grip (or not).

I, personally, could not switch grips from hook to alternate in the middle of a set without some serious probs, but I am an old man and nowhere near Satch's strength or experience level either (just as a disclaimer).
