Texas Method - Vol Day - Selecting Weights Block to Block
Afternoon Team,
In respect to Vol Day weights appreciate 5x5 starting point is approx 70% of 1RM, should each block start with this 70% or should you pick up from where you left on the previous block?

Calculating volume day weights as a percentage of 1rm is a fun theoretical exercise but not really relevant. What's important is it's relationship to the intensity day weight. If you've been running it out correctly you should be able to start it with a 5RM on intensity day, and your volume day should be at whatever percentage you needed to drive 5rms the first time around, usually 90% of this.
