Was watching the raw squats a few minutes ago in the SHW via streaming.

Williams steps to a 910(?*) on his 2nd attepmt for USAPL SHW SQ record, made it look easy and got a good lift. Blaine sumner's record was broken, new king in town.

Then Williams goes for a third attempts to break an all time, 38 year (no wraps) world record in every federation in the world(according to plwatch: SHW 934 Don Reinhoudt USA 1975 AAU) with a 940.

He walks out, the whole competition goes SILENT, atmosphere in the place is amazing, could hear him breathing from my home, he goes down -i'm screaming "up up up up" like crazy in my room and my brother comes to check on me- , he comes out of the hole fails and throws the bar over his head(crazy, I stood up when I saw this, but he was ok)

This is the most fun i've had since the meet I attended myself 4 months ago, guess official videos would be released soon enough from USAPL.

*I am sure that he made USAPL record on the 2nd and went for an all time record at the third, due to the shitty streaming and lack of info I might be messing up the weights a little bit, but the facts of the two records are 100% real.

Looks like he's been squatting our way. Beautiful drive.

That was the first thing I thought after "wow I can't believe how smooth that was"

Looked absolutely perfect; hip/back didn't seem to change even a degree on the way up

Yeah, gorgeous. Made it look easy.

Third attempt wasn't a failure to grind it out. Something Happened. Wonder what.

Looks like he felt something about to go, since there was no real stall before the drop.

Also shows how useful it is to try to spot a squat when things go off the rails.

That bar hit the ground pretty quick... exactly what are the spotters there for?
