What exactly does HSR / Eccentric only mean in terms of what exercise and how they were performing it in this example?
I haven't read the full thing on pubmed yet but this might interest some people. For the record (if anyone is keeping one) it looks like I could have been wrong. I've been riding the eccentric hype train for a while now. Glad to maybe have better info.

What exactly does HSR / Eccentric only mean in terms of what exercise and how they were performing it in this example?
I was talking to a guy at work about our shared interest: we both have medial epicondylitis (golfer's elbow). I was showing him the reverse Tyler twist exercise with the Theraband Flexbar. (I have used that as well as chins, weighted chins, and curls rather than rest and have been getting better). He asked me how it worked and I replied, "Supposedly it is the eccentric lengthening when you untwist, but I think it has more to do with the stretch."
I never did really believe that the eccentric was why these types of protocols work. Looks like I may have been on the right track.
