Probably, especially if it goes away. This is called "adaptation." We all do it.
During squats/deadlifts there is no pain in my knee while squating. My knee has always given me minor trouble. After workouts I get a general aching in my knee and its worse the next day. However, it usually stops hurting within a day or two. I've continued to squat and eat more, which seems to help. Could this just be my knee ligaments / tendons getting use to heavier weight?
Thanks in advance.

Knee sleeves are mandatory if you have knee problems.
I have a bad knee and squatting causes short term knee discomfort on a regular basis, but long term my knee health has improved substantially from squatting.
