Default gaining weight on SS / after reset

    'Afternoon Ripp -

After switching between different bodybuilding routines over the years, I've decided to reset my lifts and train with starting strength. As you say "Squat and drink your milk", I'm looking into doing (eventually) the infamous GOMAD diet....

...now, since I will be breaking records on my lifts around week 3-4, so that I don't stall early, would I want to hold off on a high caloric surplus, until then, or should I start eating big now? It would seem that since there won't be a large stimulus (weight) until a few more weeks, that it would not be advantageous to be in a hypercaloric..in sum: "I'm not close to pushing through my maxes, so why eat big now"

    Please advice

If you do the program correctly, you'll be handling loads you've never handled before 3 weeks. To recover, you must eat more. Drinking milk is like eating, only with less chewing. I'd start now, if you plan on doing the program correctly.
