    Hi Andy,

What assistance work do you generally recommend for a lifter doing Texas Method? I don't have my copy with me but I recall Practical Programming not really laying out too many details. I have your KSC program and the Heavy/Light 40+ Strength program - could I add the assistance structure from one of those to a basic Texas Method template?

I'm training 1 day on, 1 day off w/ the following split:

    Day 1
    Intensity Press 1x5
    Volume Bench 5x5

    Day 2
    Intensity Squat 1x5
    Deadlift 1x5

    Day 3
    Intensity Bench 1x5
    Volume Press 5x5

    Day 4
    Volume Squat 5x5
    Weighted Chins 3x8

I just want to add a bit of hypertrophy work to help build muscle as strength goes up. I'm 32 years old, 5'10, 185 lbs. Thank you!

On that 4-day program you have laid out I'd focus Dips for day 1 and 3. On day 2 you could do some barbell rows as back off after you deadlift for 4-6 x 8-12. Throw in some direct bicep work on days 2 and 4 if you want as well.

For legs, I'd mainly focus on things like sled dragging. Maybe some Stiff Legs or RDLs on Day 4 for like 2-3 x 5-8.

Hard to add too much assistance on TM programming.
