Nope, not The Barbell Prescription: Strength Training for Life After 40.

I'm talking about - Never Let Go by Dan John.

that is definitely a great book - one of the motivating factors in getting me to start lifting 3 year ago.

The Dan John book is so good I'm expecting a big letdown now, but we'll see.

The Barbell Prescription showed up today. It looks like a pretty solid book, but there is too much unneeded technical mumbo jumbo.
After a lifetime of training evolution, I've come to the conclusion that Dan John's training principles & programming simply cant be beat.
    It's all about Simplexity.

    Good luck with your training.

My book came Tuesday , I agree with Shug. I for sure will read it through, but from what I read so far I feel it is more geared for someone interested in becoming a SS coach . The programing section for over 60 trainees is what I will pursue.

That’s a huge disappointment. No I don’t want to become an SS coach and no I don’t want to pay $279 first month, $179/mo auto draft after to have an SS coach critique videos of my every move. I picked up the gray hair black and black iron book that you recommended and when I finish I’ll pick up the Dan John’s book.
