    Hello,

    I have a burn in my lower back when doing squats. Is this normal/expected?

    No, this is completely unexpected. There should be absolutely no sensation in any part of your body when you use it.

    Just my 0.02:

    If you aren't getting a good bounce out of the hole and you are grinding through each rep the whole time, that can cause the burning pumping sensation you might be talking about. That was my experience, anyway.

    This might be my issue, thanks, I'll try to bounce some more.

    That's what I thought. I clearly need to stop going below parallel.

    No one should squat below parallel. Completely unnecessary, and bad for the knees.
