Default Squat 200 lbs - Form check

    Hello coaches,

To mark reaching 200lbs on the squat, here is my first form check. This is my last set of 3x5, the angle is not ideal, it's the best we could do to video surreptitiously.

Thank you in advance for any pointers.

The weights obscure you quite nicely for most of the set. I cannot tell if you are deep enough. However, I suspect you need to drive your knees out harder. This may help with the mild spinal flexion you seem to be showing. However, I cannot say for sure from the video.

Thank you for the advice, sorry for the poor video. Would a belt assist in keeping my back rigid?

A belt won't save you if you cannot voluntarily control your low back.

I confess I have been focusing mostly on my knees going forward enough and keeping them still out of the hole, not paying much attention to setting my back. Will work on this and pushing my knees out and try to get a better video in a few weeks.

    Thank you again!
