As long as you are not claiming to hold the certification or otherwise using our trademark, it's fine. As you say, there's no other way to accumulate the necessary experience without actually coaching the method.
Is it ethical and legal for me to tell personal training clients at a commercial gym I work at that I am teaching them Starting Strength and show them the book, given that I am not a SSC? Reason I ask is that to gain experience needed to acquire SSC certification one must coach the lifts. Thanks, John W,
