Those boys will probably only play football for the rest of their highschool career, but you gave them a skill set they can use and improve on for the rest of their lives. The ability to gain strength is useful in all aspects of life.

That said, your dedication to the students as well as your teaching in the classroom and your efforts in the gym speak well of you. Perhaps you could offer to spot the headmaster on the bench some time and then sneak on an extra pair of 25s on each end when he wasn't looking between sets.
