    Hi guys,

Just looking for a little feedback on my latest deadlift at 300x5.

I think I have a tendency to set up a little too far over the bar but overall it seems pretty good when I actually go to pull. My setup felt a little off on my last rep but after a readjustment I was able to get it. Thanks for watching!

Your shins are too vertical. Remember, you need to set up with your shins 1in from the bar, so you have space to bring them forward which allows your quads to get more involved in the movement. And you need to re-produce this shin angle when you reset on reps 2-5. Love the Ronnie Coleman poster!

    Thanks for the feedback.

This is more obvious after a couple rewatches.. In retrospect it never really feels like my quads are contributing much to the start of the lift, which makes sense based on your comments. On the bright side, perhaps I can deadlift a bit more than I thought since what I'm doing currently seems closer to a stiff-legged deadlift.

Here's 305x5 from my last workout:

I think these are looking a bit better as far as setup / quad involvement, do you agree?

I do agree. Well done. One more slight adjustment. Keep your chin down a little more. Adjust your gaze in a little - maybe like 5-8 feet in front of you

The only think to work on is to limit your time doing the initial setup. Screwing around down there is wasting energy.
