I just received my new B&R Bar. It has several minor scuffs on the knurling, and a nick about an inch and a half long right where my grip is for presses, I did not expect this on a brand new $300 bar and contacted Rogue. Is this normal?

I don't know. You're picture didn't embed, and I don't sell barbells. Why are you even asking me about this?

Your name is on it, so you are clearly an expert on the subject.

I was asking because you have more experience with these matters than I do, and I wanted to know A) if you have seen this before, and B) if you thought a ding in the knurl would affect things enough to justify the inconvenience of sending it back for another one. Just wanted your highly valued opinion.

Do you see an image here, Matt? I'm just wondering if the image problem in the OP is only on my end.

Nope, nary a fuckin' thing. On either of the posts that should have one.

I just meant that it was a Burgener and Rippetoe bar, eh?

I see nothing Rip. The problem isn't on your end.

The image doesn't appear because Kevin linked directly to an image in his GMail account.

Kevin, you'll need to host that image on another site and link it the same way.

Here is the image. I am sorry I did not know how to post it correctly. This should work.

This bar is obviously useless. Send it to me at 3118 Buchanan St., Wichita Falls TX 76308, and I will dispose of it safely, economically, and in an environmentally sustainable fashion.
