Height? And you went from 185 to 305 on the squat in 7 weeks at the age of 62? Sounds like you're getting ahead of yourself and not doing the actual program.

I’m a 62 man, 215 lbs (down from 235), and I have been following the NP. I just finished my 7th week. Mondays tend to be really good but as lifts are getting heavier Wednesdays and Fridays can be a real challenge, and I may miss reps. My squat is 305 (from 185), press is 145 (from 95), bench is 227.5 (from 185) and deadlift is 375 (from 275). Is it time to replace the deadlift in one session with chins? I’m reluctant to power clean without a coach. If I do substitute chins, can I just designate Monday and Friday as deadlift days and Wednesday as chins and let press and bench continue to rotate? It seems like that would give ample recovery time between deadlifts.

I hadn’t read how to do the first day. That’s the reason for the 40 lb jump on the second workout.
At 62, you don't need to power clean. Go ahead and start the chins.
I know Sully does Power Cleans, but he’s an animal.
Second part of my question: I lift 3 days a week (MWF). Is rotating between Deadlift and Chins an essential part of the program or is it OK to Deadlift Mondays and Fridays and do Chins on Wednesdays? In other words 2 Deadlifts a week and one Chin versus 1.5 of each.
