Adidas just released a new color option for the adipower. It does look like they may have made minor changes to the shoe design as well. (See Here for the Details).

Word is, they are releasing a white and grey model as well - so if black/red ain't your thing just hold out a little longer!

The white and grey are slated for a June release.

I did notice the slight changes, but only the way they lace and the strap length. They've actually adjusted the strap length on the red ones as well.

The funny thing about the black/red ones is Nat from Hookgrip did a mock up of a shoe he'd like to see after the white and grey ones were announced. IIRC these look very similar to his idea.

Although they look and feel narrow, I've been told they break-in well for people with wider feet - just takes a bit longer.

Interesting. I just sent a pair of Romaleos back to Rogue, apparently the arch support was defective and caused nagging pain. I may try the Adipower just to satisfy my curiosity.

I think the strap length is the same. If you look closely they just didn't tighten it at all on the black one.

They do break in and stretch.

The strap is the same, you're right. I have a pair from when they first came out and a pair I bought in September 2013 and yes I just measured the straps haha. The strap from the pair I have from when they first released touches the ground when done up. The strap from the newer pair doesn't come close which is why I previously thought they changed the strap. They've either changed something (slight change in placement?) or my old ones really, really stretched out.

    The white/grey model:

Why they didn't release more colourways sooner is beyond me.

That last shoe would look good in black with white stripes, maybe some grey trim.

This is great news! I was turned off by the hideous orangey red color but will definitely be picking up the white ones upon release.

I think they were red as they were a rip off of the original red China romaleos. Either this or the designer had a boner for akira.

I do and I bought a UK size 8 and at first they were really really tight. Then after a few workouts they stretched and now when they are done up fully, they are great.
