Coach Rippetoe,
I have really enjoyed and made some great gains on this program.
I am 36 6'2" and gone from 202-225 in two months using the milk in a somewhat modified way.
DL 224-305
squat 175-240
bench 180-220
press 90-125
PC 130-145 learned and added these late in the program, 2 weeks ago.
I reset my squat weight back to 225 two weeks ago because I saw my form suffer at 235,didn't miss any reps but it felt ugly. The same thing happened yesterday at 240. I "know" the right form, and just got coaching from Eva T, but i couldn't keep it together. I got soft in the back drifted over my right side and made my knee sore right below the patella, where Osgood Schlatter happens( feels the same) Didn't miss any but didn't feel good.
What should I do? Reset and try again with 2.5 pond jumps? I am loving the gains and just getting stronger, the other lifts feel good. My original goal was to be strong enough to do CF wods as RXed. I don't want to quit due to form and I feel like my squat is disproportionately week for my size and strength elsewhere.
Thank You, and I apologize for the length rambling.
Yes, reset and try smaller jumps. But also make damn sure that the "somewhat modified way" you are drinking your milk involves a gallon of whole milk a day.
