If you actually care about all of the gossip, reading the Couch Thread on Irongarm would probably be useful to you.
I'm curious to know to what extent different parties within the S&C world are aligned with or opposed to each other. I want to know because, while I don't blindly drink the Rippetoe Kool-Aid, whomever Rip chastises he does so with a very strong case. The most obvious example is CrossFit -- Rip loves taking jabs at them, and his criticisms opened my eyes to a lot of ugly CrossFit truths.
Obviously, Rip doesn't agree on every minute topic with some, but his word is authoritative and it carries weight. Could someone shed some light on how these guys view each other?
Catalyst Athletics -- CF-certified instructors at the gym, but forum members seem to like bashing CF mainsite
Elite FTS
T-Nation -- Tainted by the occasional silly contribution from bodybuilders, but it has articles penned by respected lifters

Well, it helps. Things can get pretty catty, but when Rip decides to chide a fitness camp, he usually has good reason.
Truth is........they all talk about each other unfortunately. There is more of an emotional attachment between camps than one might think. It is business after all. Deep down inside, most of the camps who ARE NOT crossfit do not like crossft but appreciate the business they bring in. As always, once you follow the money you get to the truth. This is true in many aspects of the world, not just politics.
Quote of the day haha....
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
