I'm doing a presentation regarding rehabilitation of spinal injuries and so far I have read surgery to be the only effective method (Can be any kind of injury, major or minor) I was thinking of mentioning the reverse hyper and strengthening the lower back. Can you guys give me more ideas?

    Thanks a lot

Don't forget the QL muscle (side bridges). Side bridges have been a staple for me once I tried them.

What kind of spinal injury are we talking about? There's disk injuries. Compression fractures. Facet joint injuries (which i don't quite understand). Then there are the various muscle injuries that happen when people's back goes out. But muscles aren't the spine.

I'm under the impression that these are just when the disks smash together...like the opposite of a herniated disk...perhaps I'm wrong, what's your understanding of it?

Well, i believe that hyperextension can cause facet joint injuries, also some rotation under load, but i don't know what exactly. And i don't think there's anything you can do for them other than let them heal without further insult.

The facet joints are on the spiny part, not near the disks so i don't know how you mean they're opposite of that. Burst or herniated disks can probably cause facet joint injury too since the movement between the two vertebrae would be thrown off.
