    Hi coach Rippetoe,
    I can imagine this is not the first time someone asked this but i couldn't find anything using the serch line.
    I haven't been bench pressing for some time due to some incredible strech marks I would rather avoid making any larger and wanted to ask if there is a way to replace it for me to start using the SS program? Parallel bar dips cause the same issue by the way.

    Stretch marks are battle scars, son. You should just stop training.

    I'd happily embrace stretch marks if only by bench would improve.

    Stretch marks are the shit, they let you know you're growing fast. Do you not want to grow fast?

    This is quite possibly the dumbest thing I have ever heard. who complains about growing muscle so fast that you get stretch marks?
