Default Meet report and big thanks

Just wanted to say thanks. I just came home from my first meet and I'm quite happy with the results:

    Squat: 200 kg (441 lbs)
    Bench: 120 kg (264 lbs)
    Deadlift: 200kg (441 lbs)

I got first place on the 198 open category, first place on the squat and second place on the bench and deadlift on said category (they had medals for all the lifts in this meet since you had the option of not competing in all three lifts).

The squat and deadlift are about 60 pounds heavier than anything I ever handled on my training and considering I felt I had at least 210 on the squat and the only other people to squat more than me were either heavier, or a lot heavier and with a squat suit, I've been farting rainbows ever since.

I started strength training in order to get bigger. I got bigger, but then I also got stronger and the time came to know just how much stronger I'd gotten. I thank you for providing me the means to get strong and winning my first meet, even if it was a small one with not a lot of contestants.

Grats Carlos! Those are some very nice numbers. Your meat-centric birthday bash clearly served double duty!

Thanks everyone. I've been lifting for almost two years, doing strength training for a little more than a year.

Vids from the meet, for your enjoyment.

    Squat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_vbeAZs-rI
    Bench: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dxMH33VmKY
    Deadlift: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39ReDQyWYCQ

The squat looks smooth. Rip, you think I could have gotten, I feel like I had 220 kg in me. What's your take on this?

Also, I feel like my squats have outpaced my dead and bench, I'll have to focus on those two lifts.

220 is overly optimistic. 212.5 maybe.
