Very good thread. Show yourselves, European coaches!
Hi,
Does anyone know of any Europe based coaches?
After emailing Stef she suggested I ask in the forums as there have been some coaches go through the training but not have their details listed.
I used the directory to search the following:
- England
- UK
- United Kingdom
- Britain
- GB
- Great Britain
- Wales
- Scotland
- France
- Germany
- Belgium
(gave up at this point).
I travel to the US for work occasionally and found someone that can help but it would be great to have someone closer to home (UK).
Thanks
Mike

C'mon guys! Show yourselves.
I dont think there is anyone that has gone to the effort of travelling to do the seminar. If there are any certified SS coaches then Stef should have them in a directory somewhere, cant be more than a handful if any at all.
The obvious answer is right in front of us
I checked with Stef and she said there have been a few that have gone through the program. I've found a gym in London (http://www.bgweightlifting.com/) that has a powerlifting coach. I'm going to start there in the new year. There isn't a substitute for in person coaching.
Just to resurrect this thread...
- Have any SS London coaches been identified?
- Mike, did you try the Bethnal Green gym? If so how was it? Did you find assistance on all the SS main lifts?
It's fairly near me so I was planning on trying it soon to get some form tuition but it would be good to get some inside info.
Mike,
I'm not based in London, but I'm there 3-4 times a year and usually workout at the Jubilee Hall gym at Covent Garden. It is the best facility I have found in the West End/Central London. It would not be the same as having a regular coach but let me know if you want to try and coordinate when I'm in town to do some spot checks on form and technique. PM me and I can give you the dates I currently have on the calendar as I will be there is a couple of weeks but will not have a ton of open time.
