Hamstring Pain from back Extensions
I've had this rather bad right hamstring pain from doing heavy back extensions with a 45lb plate, my form was good, I just think the strain on my hamstrings was too much. This has been going on for about a month now, maybe longer.
I have been training as usual and still do back extensions with the plate...
I cant even feel it hurting when doing the back extensions, although i'm sure this is what's caused it. It doesn't hurt squatting or any other exercise that involves the hamstrings. The only time this feels really painful is when I'm doing weighted situps on a decline bench. It also hurts sometimes when I'm sitting down or laying in bed at an odd angle.
My question is what is the best way to deal with a hamstring injury of this sort? Is stretching before hand good? I dont want to fuck this up any more than I have.
thanks

Stop doing heavy back extensions.
Go for higher reps at lower weight. Or do good mornings, also with low weight and round-backed too.
