Older Neophyte Squat Form Check
[My first post here.] I am a 48 y.o., untrained guy doing SS for a couple months now and it has been going well. However, after finally deciding to video my workouts last week, I was mildly horrified at the squat... not how I pictured it in my head! Many issues but the main one was depth at about 4 inches higher than I expected. Really focusing on knees out, plus taking 5% off the work weight, seemed to help get depth but the weights may still be heavy for me.
Here is a video of last night's final work set and a warm up set for comparison. Still get deeper in warm up but perhaps at the expense of more lower back rounding. Also, I think the knees slide forward a bit much.

Thank you for any advice.

Welcome to the boards. These are great looking squats, my friend. Your depth isn't far off on the first set and it looks spot on for the most recent set. I don't have much more to say other than keep going and keep "shakin' that ass."
