Rip was less than ecstatic about my press 2.0 form here (170 x 1)
    http://startingstrength.com/resource...ad.php?t=45989

After several re-watchings of the press video, here's my latest effort @170. I got 2 reps.

I apologize for the narrow angle and my horrible, bony-ass back. Knees were definitely locked out, since you can't see them.

    Any better?

If I can't see your knees, I'm calling that a push-press. Find a way to post a video of your entire body.

Why are you missing reps on your lifts?

I'd be willing to swear with my right hand on a stack of SS:BBT and PPST 3rd editions that my knees were locked into hard-as-fuck (clinical term) extension to the point of quad discomfort for these reps. I just wanted to know if you could tell whether I was getting better rebound from my hip thrusts than before. I'll just take the fact that you suspect me of push-pressing as an affirmative.

A much wider video angle would require taking the barbell and plates outside down 2 flights of stairs, and for it to be lighter and warmer outside than it is in March in New Jersey at 6:30 p.m. The loft/gym barely has space for the barbell to be maneuvered into and out of the squat rack.

170 was my 1+ set on 5/3/1+ week of my program, which is actually HLM but borrows rep schemes from 5/3/1 for bench, press, and squats. I should have either really gone after the third rep or not gone for it at all.

I seem to recall seeing you squat without the camera being up your ass. http://startingstrength.com/resource...ad.php?t=47340

    Do that again.

    Legend:

I can squat in the rack, but have to press outside. The good news is that I had an epiphany today (which means I'm dumb and I had a modestly not-entirely-stupid idea). I'll put the cameraman in the rack and just walk it back to a few feet from the wall.

I'm sure nobody cares, but here's the floor plan of my loft:

    |-------11.5------------|
    ______________ __
    |----------------------|__| |
    |----------------------|__|stairs |
    |----------------------|__| 8.5
    |----------------------|__| |
    |---------------------------| |
    |---------------------------| |
    |---------------------------| |
    |_______________| _|_

The 8 x 8 platform takes up everything except the "landing" part at the top of the stairs (bottom right corner). Whoever's not spotting or lifting and the bench have to cram in at the top of the stairs. But I'll do what I thought of above next time and see if I can get my fully extended knees in the frame next time. ;-)

    Thanks.

What's the floor plan of the rest of your house? I don't care, I just want to see you re-create it with your keyboard.

I agree, and be sure include a picture of that uneven bench press guy from that post on one of Rip's threads O-/-<

Not at all. Just having some fun. I quite enjoy Mahogany's enthusiasm.
