Today I was going for a workset of 375 on deadlift and when i tried to pull I felt a sharp pain on my left top part of my rips in the stomach area. There is no bulging out or anything of the sort so I doubt it is a hernia. Suggestions? I'm thinking just rest and probably skip deadlift or power clean for a week? anyone else ever have this happen? could it also be belt position or wrong breathing?

On your ribs? Probably costal cartilage.
Keep going, couple weeks you'll be like new

Yes, actually it is on the lower left side of ribs . So not rest? Just keep working through it?

You can search the boards for "costal cartilage" if you want to know more

It took like 6 weeks for mine to be close to fully healed. I did what I could, deadlifts bothered it too much, but squatting was fine. Benching was ok, but if bar hit my chest it felt like murder.

I didn't change anything permanently. I couldn't deadlift at all for 4 weeks, after that I started back up lighter and moved up quickly. With bench I had to be super careful to not let the bar hit my sternum for 6 weeks. If it started hurting and got worse I stopped. If it started hurting, but didn't get worse, I continued and watch it closely.
