    I haven't lifted in nearly 2 years. I was previously 240lbs, but I am currently 162.

I had stage 3 colon cancer and had a right hemicolectomy operation.

My question is whether I can expect strength gains to come back easier or quicker than running LP as a complete novice.

Either way is fine. I would just like to know what to expect.

And, yeah, I'll be putting weight on.

What were your previous lifts? Age/height?

Yes, your lifts will come back much quicker than they accumulated the first time. Wear a belt.

To the "Hilarious" thread founder, it's good to see you back. You got through something very difficult, congratulations. Look forward to seeing your progress as well as down in E&P.

    Thanks!

I'm pretty excited about it. My best friend has a complete barbell set(bench, squat stands, two bars, 450lbs), all York, that he wants to part with. He's currently building a house and simply doesn't want his stuff anymore. I have 2 empty rooms in my house.

Naturally, I volunteered to take it all off his hands. We move it in tomorrow.

I have wondered for a very long time what happened to that guy from the "hilarious" thread. Glad to hear you're recovering well and good to have you back.

Thanks. I'll be starting a log shortly for those interested. Been an interesting couple of years.

I'm definitely not nearly as elitist and disdainful as I was then. Humility is funny that way, I guess.
