Assistance for weakling novice who is having fun and wants more
Greetings,
Started SS a little over a week ago. I'm enjoying the gym, and want to be in it more often. Is there stuff I can do on "off" days that won't compromise recovery? Or, better yet, will help progress with the program?
I am 28 and conventionally "healthy", but not athletic and pretty weak by y'all's standards; this is my first attempt at any kind of training since high school, and I'm having a lot of fun so far. Thanks!

No, just do the program as written. You are only a week in so things are relatively easy. They will get harder and mental and physical fatigue will build. A few sets of chin ups after workouts is fine, but no assistance is necessary at this point.
