Our very own Gillian Mounsey Ward has been nominated for Powerlifting Watch's Female Lifter of the Year, 2013.

As everyone who spends any time here knows, Gillian not only lifts using the SS Model, but is also a SS Coach, has authored multiple articles for the site, and owns and operates Crystal Coast Strength and Conditioning, A Starting Strength Gym.

I believe she is our first SS lifter, male or female, to be nominated for a Lifter of the Year award. Let's show her our support.

Thank you friends. I appreciate it. In all honestly, if it wasn't for Rip I never would have made this list. In the spring of 2011, I was an overtrained, underfed, beaten down crossfitter looking for a new direction- a healthier, more sustainable athletic pursuit with clear end goals and a logical, systematic approach to getting there.
