    Looks like a textbook press.

Agreed. From this angle we can't see anything that might prompt a coach to cue you to contract your abs harder. But everything else correct about your setup and technique makes me confident you already are.

Is your BP 5rm 200? I believe I weighed in on your BP form check. If it is 200, then your Press is about 83% of your BP, more than the 70% differential some coaches have mentioned here.

Wish I had something to offer, to trade one of my lifts for your Press.

Is that the new SS bench behind you? How do you like it?

    Very good press!

Consider: On the ascent, I think your elbows flare laterally earlier than is ideal. You might have an even easier upward glide if your elbows were forward of the barbell just fractionally longer.

No, it’s one I built. Buddy of mine is a welder, so he did the base and I did the top. Cost about a third of what the SS bench does.

I’m working my bench back up after about six months of inconsistency. Just started doing a Texas Method 4 day split so for the purposes of my training, yes 200 was my current 5RM but it will be going up weekly. 1RM for bench was 245 and press 1RM was 200 before things got crazy last summer.

Good pressing. Which has evidently distracted our esteemed gentleman from noticing the energy leak at your bent wrists.

Grip width looks ok, maybe cue tight armpits at the bottom.

Stance is wider than typical. Experiment with a narrower stance, or, seriously, feel free to ignore this point.

The wider stance is due to the low ceilings. The plates bump the ceiling otherwise.

Ha, and that's what I failed to notice. You could get additional iron 25's instead of the 45's and have a bit more space that way.
