Shittiest comments ever. Enjoy!
Good article as usual, but I ain’t reading the comments. My extensive experience in dicking around on the internet has shown me that comment sections on general interest websites are home to some of the most hope-destroying examples of human idiocy on the planet.
This is no exception.
Rip,
I think there’s a typo in the article - it says you started Scott on 5 sets of 3 for squat and press and a set of 5 for deadlift for 7 total sets.
That aside, very cool story and unfortunately you are right about the comments.
Rip are you at all concerned that you are obese and going to suffer a premature death? The internet commenters told me so. Plus you're fat.
I enjoyed the article. Nice work.
Wonderful, inspiring story! I love how, time and time again, Scott has shown up and done "the hardest thing he's ever done." A 300 pound deadlift sounds like a well-earned Christmas present.
The comments were a special level of stupid, but at least they attempted to thoughtfully discuss the content of the article. Oh wait, no they didn't. Just more dumbasses obsessing about Rip's physique, as usual.
But Coach Rip, you say that every time!
Reminds me of my boss who never fails to say "best protocol I have ever read" about every protocol he reads. He claims it's always true, because we always improve.
Good article, as usual. I know younger "lifters" or trainees who achieved less in more time, via less discipline/dedication.
I also read the comments and was entertained.
Happy New Year to you, Rip.
Doesn't "Mr." "Rippetoe" understand the value of the metric that is being able to see your own dick? How else are you going to make sure it's really there if you can't just look down and see it? I think "Mr." "Rippetoe" should retire seeing as his programme is much inferior to Stronglifts 5x5 and "some other programme", which has been proven to be true, and because college athletes don't train on his programme. So there. Did I mention the part about another grown man's penis and the ability to see it?
Nice article, and good on Mr Davison.
I'm torn as to whether you should take pride in that one guy's interest in you. Apparently he knows your cardiovascular condition, and that you can't see your dick. Part of me wants to say if I have fans, I want to have in-depth fans.
Where is Darwinism when you need it?
