Any suggestions on how to program to "specialize in the squat"... in terms of greater training volume/frequency? Or just stick with normal Novice progression or Texas Method? I ask because so guys at my gym are having a friendly squat only competition. Current Best for squat is 425lbs for 3 sets of 5.

I am... however, I think I am starting to get stuck, my squat session was today and I tried 430 got it for 2 sets of 5 and then on the 3rd set I had to bail on the 3rd rep.

Pretty stout weight for an LP. Nice job.

Next week go to TM. Start volume day at like 385x5x5 and ID at 435 x 3
