Hi Coach - hoping for a bit of feedback on this deadlift. I am 40yo, 224lbs, 5'8"

    1. Am I dropping my hips too much when I'm setting my back?
    2. I started to lose grip after 4th rep. Tried a quick fix before pulling the last rep, but I still slipped on the descent. Using chalk and hook grip. I don't think it's a major issue (prob just need a bit more chalk next time), but is it too early to start thinking of using straps?
    3. Any other noticeable issues?

These look fine. Take a picture of your hook grip and post it.

If your chalked hook grip won't hold, you'll have to use an alternate grip.

I’ll definitely try more chalk first. Thanks coach!

Can you get your thumb deeper into your fingers?

Careful- jamming the thumb further into the fingers will invariably cause the bar to be shoved deeper into the palm. This is undesired for a couple reasons, ultimately because it actually usually makes the grip worse.
