Louisiana Powerlifters

Not exactly a training question but I didn't know where else to put this.

I'm having trouble finding meets in Louisiana but see shitloads of them in TX. Anyone compete in LA and know where the meets are? Raw only please. In case I ever get really serious about this I'd like to not have to drive 4 or 5 hours to get to Houston/Dallas.

Not to derail your thread, but I'm about to head to Metaire for a week, and need a decent place to lift. My cousin goes to Crossfit Metarie, but not so sure about that one.

Back to your question - it looks like there is a USAPL meet in Lafayette on July 12th.

You just missed the USAPL State meet in January.

And sorry, don't know any good gyms in the New Orleans area. I've been to a few globos down there that's it.
