    Default Chin-ups/pull-ups on bench days?

    I've been doing the original beginner's program (A/B rotation) for 6 weeks now and wanted to start incorporating chin-ups and pull-ups. Normally you recommend doing them on press/power clean days.

    Since they are ancillary exercises, can I do pull-ups/chin-ups on my bench days or will that affect recovery of the press/power cleans?

    Before starting strength, I was able to do 3x10 pull-ups because I used to train them every other day along with push-ups. If I do them to failure, I do normally like 14, 11, 8

    Do them on the day that works best for you. A drop-off of 3 reps per set indicates to me that you're not resting long enough between sets.
